How to bypass factory reset protection (google account lock) on most HTC devices


Here is just another tutorial on how to bypass factory reset protection (frp) on HTC devices. If you have been following my frp tutorials you must have noticed that our main aim is just to install QuickShortcut or frpbypass-1.0 apk. The goal is still the same here.
Just follow the procedures below.

This tutorial assumes that your are the owner of the phone

Turn on device and connect to a working hotspot
When its connected, do not press the NEXT button shown on screen
Instead tap another hotspot connection
When this connection ask for password, tick Show password then type in any word on password bar
Now press and hold the word you typed, a pop up will appear select SHARE
After you select SHARE, another pop up will appear with all sharing apps
Now press and hold GMail app from the pop up
You will see App info Page of Gmail
Now tap Notifications then followed by App settings
When you see General settings and Add account, Press BACK icon at top left
When you press back icon, it will take you to phone settings

When you are in phone settings, scroll down till you see Google
Tap the following Google > Search & Now > Now cards
Inside Now cards settings, enable (turn on) Show cards
Select NO THANKS

Now type in Chrome in the Google search bar
Select Chrome app that appears
Accept & Continue > NO THANKS
Now download frpbypass-1.0 apk (preferable) or QuickShortcut apk
When you are sure the download is complete
Exit Chrome and go back to phone settings by continuously pressing back button

Now you are in phone settings again
scroll down to and tap Google
Enter the following menu Search & Now > Now cards
Inside Now cards settings, enable (turn on) Show cards
Select NO THANKS from the screen that appears
Now type in Download in the Google search bar
Select Download app that appears
Inside Downloads, you will find the app you downloaded

If you downloaded frpbypass 1.0
Install and launch
You will now see Re-type password page
Tap the 3 dots at top right and select Browser Sign-in
Tap OK and sign in your Account
After a successful Sign-in, Reboot phone.

If you downloaded QuickShortcutMaker app,
install and Launch
Type in Google Account in the Search Bar
Select Google Account Manager from the list
Under Google Account Manger, scroll down and select the option with Type Email and Password 
Now Tap Try to launch it
You will now see Re-type password page
Tap the 3 dots at top right and select Browser Sign-in
Tap OK and sign in your Account (Connect device to a WiFi network)
After a successful Sign-in, you will be faced with Quick Shortcut app interface
Reboot the phone and set it up.

Note
If you are doing this for somebody, after the bypass, do a factory reset from settings menu (Backup and Reset option) so as to clear your account from the device.
